The first collection launching this festive season is characterized by pure fabrics such as Cotton, linens, Silk and heavy Brocades.
The ethnic wear comprises with touch of Indian colours taste like red, green, maroons etc and it is price friendly. His traditional wedding collection comprises of heavy brocades and silk fabric with subtle colours touch like gold, silver and bronze.
Chiraag Dattani, Creative Designer turned Entrepreneur, created a niche of his own and is flagging off his exclusive boutique in Mumbai. An alumnus of Parsons School of Design in New York, 1998, he majored with a degree in Applied Science in Fashion Design. He started as assistant designer with the Pioneer of American Fashion–Halston, in their Knitwear division and then joined as a technical designer at the Roussos Apparel Group, a renowned women’s clothing manufacturing company in New York.
His panache and originality, and exquisite sense of style, combine with impeccable garment construction to create stunningly simple yet dramatic results. His label has a trademark of exquisite embroidery, fine finish and clean contemporary styling, ensuring classic garments. Clothes that are reminiscent of Antique India while retaining a contemporary style.
His ability to amalgamate his soulful Indian heritage with true urban influences has been the foundation of his design ideology. Simplicity with absolutely clean and fuss free lines have been the hallmark of his creations. He launched his own magnificent Design label "CHIRAAG DATTANI" in 2001, with the broad realization that there is a dearth of quality, well fitted clothing with impressive blend of Traditional and Ethnic Men’s Designer wear in the Indian market.
His collection is a mix of traditional and cultural touch of Indian essence, exclusivity that is tailor made and yet economical with the latest trends in the global world as his collection is inspired by various sources like the Royal Indian Heritage, Classic Italian cuts.
He successfully retailed his brand “Chiraag Dattani” at India’s leading fashion stores like Kimaya Fashions, Mogra, Czar (Mumbai), Aura (Nagpur), and Kimera (Bangalore) Elahe and Origins (Hyderabad).
