Like Bakers Shoes, Brother has an incredible track record of supporting young, independent design talent. We're proud to welcome them as sponsors of Bakers Project:Design! and appreciate their support of our mission to develop and create exposure opportunities for up-and-coming fashion designers. We know the designers participating in the Bakers Project:Design! competition will be excited by their presence at Saint Louis Fashion Week.
In addition to their generous sponsorship of the event, Brother will award the Bakers Project:Design! grand-prize winner with the Project Runway Limited Edition LB6770 PRW computerized sewing and embroidery machine with the limited edition Project Runway tote.
“Through our involvement with Project Runway, Brother has brought sewing back into fashion as an exciting way to express creativity,” says Dean F. Shulman, senior vice president of Brother International Corporation and head of the company’s home appliance division. “Brother is happy to be the exclusive sewing machine sponsor of Saint Louis Fashion Week and is pleased to be involved in Bakers Project: Design! It is these inspiring events that prove that sewing isn’t a dusty, old hobby. We’ve given it a much-needed вЂmakeover,’ and now it’s appealing to all ages,” he explained.
