Its Labor Day, and Portland Fashion Week: Spring/Summer 2010 Collections is exactly a month away. Portland Fashion Week is kicking off the festivities with two huge designer preview events at two of the biggest celebrations in downtown Portland, which will culminate into the fashion week itself on October 7-11.
The 9/9/09 event at the Nines: The Nines, a Starwood Luxury Collection Hotel in downtown Portland, is celebrating this iconic day of September 9, 2009, by hosting a big fashion event launching the month of festivities of Portland Fashion Week 2009. Audiences will get the first intimate look of Portland Fashion Week 2009 designers' work, by taking over the main floor of the hotel from 6-9pm with their amazing work.
Attendees will get the rare opportunity to enjoy samples of work of many PFW designers Fall 2009 pieces all at the same uber-trendy space, as they will adorn the mannequins of the Nines lobby, while The Nines will serve fashion-themed cocktails by the talented mixologists of the Urban Farmers restaurant at The Nines. While sipping cocktails, attendees can stroll into the Georgia Room where PFW designer IDOM will be having a trunk-show of their Fall 2009 pieces, which is for sale for the attendees.
