Hong Kong:SATRA collabarates with STC to test restricted substances

SATRA Technology Centre UK is working in partnership with the Hong Kong Standards and Testing Centre (STC) to help raise quality, efficiency and speed in Far East manufacture.

SATRA, established in 1919, is a leading authority on the technical aspects of a wide range of consumer products, as well as international legislation and testing. Many of its test methods become industry standards and its production efficiency and accreditation systems are unrivalled.

It also houses a well equipped chemical analysis laboratory with new equipment installed to meet the rising demand for restricted substances testing with fast results.

STC, with laboratories in Hong Kong and mainland China, and with a relentless quest towards improving product quality, performance and safety, has played a major role in the transformation of manufacture in the Far East region since 1963.

The SATRA and STC collaboration offers an unrivalled combination of industry expertise and regional knowledge, both in materials and whole product research and development and in getting the best from manufacturing processes. It will provide a far reaching solution for best practice and compliance in consumer products industries with a Far East manufacturing base.

It is hoped that by having such a combined pool of experience and expertise everyone will benefit: the brands sourcing product, the manufacturers and suppliers; the consumers who buy end product.
