USA:Style icons to grace Orange County runway shows

Project Runway alumni and red carpet fashion commentator Nick Verreos; Bachelor and Bachelor Pad stars and OC residents Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke; Justine Pasek, Miss Universe 2002; and Brook Lee, Miss Universe 1997 will be among the fashion savvy guests at the Style Week Orange County runway shows this Friday, Oct. 1 and Saturday, Oct. 2 at Irvine Spectrum Center, 71 Fortune Drive, Irvine, CA.

The third annual Style Week Orange County returns this week (now through Oct. 3), with dozens of in-store fashion events, shopping rewards, a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree at Irvine Spectrum Center, and fashion exhibits and demonstrations at the FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising Design School in Action.

On Friday, Oct. 1, the week culminates in Rack Rave at 6 p.m., a fashionable VIP party with fashion shows, seven style vignettes showing fall’s hottest looks, beauty tips and more. At 7 p.m., Nick Verreos and his co-designer David Paul will show their Spring 2011 collection of NIKOLAKI couture gowns, followed by Cadillac Couture: Red Carpet Gowns, a fashion presentation and design contest by FIDM designers whose gowns were inspired by Cadillac colors and models. Nick Verreos, Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke will be among the judges at the Cadillac show.

Saturday, Oct. 2, Nordstrom presents the best in fall fashion at 7 p.m., followed by the return of the Needle & Thread competition, where seven FIDM designers present five original looks for the Ezekiel Spring collection. Nick Verreos, Tenley Molzahn and last year’s Needle & Thread winner, Adrian Manuel, will help judge this contest, in which the winner will have their looks featured in Ezekiel’s spring line.
