FIDM Interior Design students win Elle DГ©cor-sponsored contest

A team of three FIDM Interior Design school Students won first place in the “Legends of La Cienega: Celebrate Hollywood” Student Design Competition, sponsored by Elle Décor magazine. The contest required entrants to design a room in a residential or commercial space that represented their contemporary vision for a film or TV series.

With their entry "Mirror Mirror," FIDM Students Mark Griffin, Olivia Sibert, and Maelee Lungren gave a modern spin to Snow White by designing a gothic New York City penthouse. A panel of five renowned designers selected the winning entry and the students’ work will be featured in the December issue of Elle Décor.
Currently, you can watch Mark and Olivia on the new HGTV series Design School, which is filmed on FIDM's Los Angeles campus. Meanwhile, Maelee is participating in Chairing Styles, a unique collaboration between FIDM Interior Design, Fashion Design, and Textile Design Students.

La Cienega Boulevard, one of the most glamorous design destinations in the U.S., played home to a series of events and signature design experiences for “Legends of La Cienega: Celebrate Hollywood.”

With four dynamic California campuses, FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising is the premier west coast fashion design college, educating for careers in fashion, graphic design, interior design, and entertainment. FIDM’s graduates include renowned fashion designers like Monique Lhuillier, Emmy and Academy Award award-winning costume designers, top fashion industry executives, and entrepreneurs.
